MANAGING PARTNER

Veronica L. Richardson is the managing partner of Richardson Law, LLC. She previously defended employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation matters for over ten years. She then made the decision to use all that she learned to help injured workers get the benefits they deserve. She is passionate in her mission: working hard, with fearless advocacy, to achieve the best results for her clients.

Veronica was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Her path of higher education began at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, where she majored in International Business, with specializations in Italian and Marketing.

She then attended the University of Georgia School of Law and graduated in 2006. While in law school, Veronica founded the Labor and Employment Law Association (LELA). She also competed in several moot court and mock trial competitions. She was named Best Advocate at the Regional Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition (2005), a semi-finalist in the American Trial Lawyers Association Mock Trial Competition (2006) and coached the national championship team of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition (2006).

She also served as the Advocacy Chair of the Davenport-Benham Chapter of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA). As a result of her achievements in advocacy, in 2006, Veronica was inducted into The Order of the Barristers for “having exhibited excellence and attained high honor through the art of courtroom advocacy.”

After graduating from law school, Veronica began her legal career as a staff attorney for a Superior Court Judge in Cherokee County, Georgia. Following the completion of her two-year clerkship, she worked for a mid-sized defense firm in Marietta, Georgia where she began her journey in the world of workers’ compensation. She was then recruited to join a large defense firm in downtown Atlanta. Thereafter, she was invited to join a small claimant’s firm as a partner, to begin the work of helping injured workers.

On October 1, 2018, Veronica opened Richardson Law, LLC, in Atlanta, Georgia. This move allowed her to focus on her clients and provide individualized, personal attention for every claim. She takes great pride in working directly with her clients on resolving their claims to maximum benefit. She is proficient in all phases of litigation including depositions, mediations, trials and appeals.

She frequently makes presentations and conducts educational seminars regarding workers’ compensation claims, including the 2015 Workers’ Compensation Law Institute and the State Board of Workers’ Compensation’s 2018 and 2019 Regional Educational Series. In 2017, she joined the faculty at the University of Georgia School of Law as an Adjunct Professor.

She is also committed to her community and strongly believes in helping others. She previously served as the co-chair of the Kids’ Chance Silent Auction fundraiser. Kids’ Chance is a non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities and scholarships for the children of workers seriously injured or killed on the job. Veronica served as a co-chair for the fundraiser from 2014 through 2016. She remains a supportive member of the committee. She is also very active with the University of Georgia School of Law’s mentorship program.

In her spare time, Veronica enjoys reading, baking pound cakes, international travel, and playing with her two pit bulls.
